We are, inevitably, called to confront

the great catastrophes in life.

The mystical challenge is to be

so radically present

that we sense God as the crisis itself,  

breaking the fear-strictures of the heart,

allowing the awesome power

of divine transformation to be God

changing us into God.

The mystic surrenders the ego’s agenda

and the inner divine moves to the fore

showing the way

into the sacred dream.
