Life is a dream, 

but humanity’s version

has become a pernicious spell,

its drama luring us ever more deeply  into itself.

The more you fight with this dream, the deeper you get.

Lose yourself in the dream, and you will lose

consciousness for decades.

Transcend the impulse to fight.

Watch as God watches.

Wake up and  discover God’s original dream

waiting all around you.

stop everything.

Be still, silent, quiet, present.

Let the holiness of the moment

settle around you.

No thought, no effort, no goals.

No place to go.

Wait.

How Mystical Activism Works

Much of what stands before us is unreal,

a construct

of concepts, beliefs, worries,

fantasies, fears, desires,

expectations, memories, and goals

organized around a constantly revised personal narrative called

“The Story of Me.”

It all dissolves in mystical consciousness,

revealing instead a world transfigured

in light and love

and infinite possibilities.

This is how mystical activism works.

God and Politics

God is not interested in power,

wealth, or winning.

Divine love rains down on everyone.

Entering God’s nature, we act from love.

Worshipping power and wealth, we grow numb.

Anyone using God’s name for political purposes

does not understand God.

Love unites lovers on all sides.
