Time ceases in mystical consciousness.

Past and future disappear.

Clock and calendar lose all relevance.

With no rush, schedule, or deadlines

we enter the holy mystery

and the patient work of eternity.

What we are becoming has forever to blossom,

and forever is but a moment.

What touches the eternal lasts,

what lives in time fades in oblivion.

Let your work concern eternity.

Stepping into the Mystery

Stop thinking.
Stand very still.
Breathe slowly.
Become intensely awake
and aware of your surroundings,
especially the way light and shadow constantly transform
the surfaces of the world.
Examine every little thing.

Now focus consciousness back on itself
and feel God breathing you,
becoming you,
becoming Creation.

Whisper your secret name for God,
and love rushes up from within,
ending
all confusion about why you’re here.
Enter Heaven here on Earth.

Stay awhile.
Wherever you are,
bathe in the enchanting mystery
of God’s conscious being.
