Listen to the Guidance of Soul

When you stop censoring and directing yourself,

 the soul’s voice can be heard within,

sometimes in whispers, sometimes in shouts.

 Let it out of the ego’s corral.

As God is our ultimate divinity,

soul guides our progress toward that unity,

manifesting its sacred tasks

of awakening, loving service, and Self-realization.

Discover its urgency in the embers of your passion.

Ask soul for direction

and listen.

Crises: The Face of God

We are, inevitably, called to confront

the great catastrophes in life.

The mystical challenge is to be

so radically present

that we sense God as the crisis itself,  

breaking the fear-strictures of the heart,

allowing the awesome power

of divine transformation to be God

changing us into God.

The mystic surrenders the ego’s agenda

and the inner divine moves to the fore

showing the way

into the sacred dream.

A Forbidden Practice

“I Am God” is a spiritual mantra
often frowned upon by experts.
To some, it smacks of egotism.
But the ego does not become God,
for in awakening, no separate ego is left
to feel superior or important.
Instead, a marvelous new energy arises
transforming personality, motive, and
perception, transfiguring the world 
right where
you are.
Everything becomes God.
For those who enter this consciousness, 
love becomes the prime mover of existence.
