Apocalypse and Rebirth

We stand paralyzed before

a hard-barreling train

carrying the massive freight

of warfare and climate disasters,

polluted landscapes and human desperation.

Its impact – fierce, powerful, terrifying –

already disrupts our lives.

We tremble in the face of

multiplying catastrophes.

Perhaps a new vision will rise from

the marriage of mystical awakening

and Earth wisdom.

Listen:

The sacred world is already here,

divine and conscious.

Do you see it?

As humanity’s arrogance fails,

open your consciousness to the guidance

of Spirit, ancestors, and love.

Get ready to move

from heartbreak and loss

to the new work of Creation.

The Nature Of Soul

Soul is not a theological abstraction,

it’s the presence of ageless spiritual self.

Older and wiser than its incarnation as true self,

it stands ready in every moment to guide our growth

through the seasons and cycles of Earth life.

The soul knows why we came and pushes us

to serve the greater transformation of humanity.

Make friends with your soul.

It knows the way.

Alchemical Fires

Some transformations are created 

through anguish.

You break.

But each time,

you are restored,

though not to the

same person you were.

There is purpose in the alchemical fires of loss.

What burns away are attachments.

What does the burning is God.

What’s left is a chastened and wiser soul

in deeper communion with the sacred.

Spiritual transformation continues throughout life

as God remakes our being

until there is nothing left but love.

The Mystical Core of Activism

The loving activism of food, medicine, technology, safety,

and education saves lives

and comforts the wounded,

but the cause of these problems,

rooted in human illusions,

never changes.

In the experience of divinity,  

love’s creative energies

flood consciousness.

Reverential silence, stillness,

and presence allow these energies

to move through us,

awakening the experience

of Heaven on Earth

and stirring loving actions

big and small.

Mystical activism works

in the pristine and sacred moment

of “here and now.”

Transforming consciousness,

we transform the world itself.

Mystical Activism

The experience of mystical oneness

is itself activism.

When “I” dissolve in the All,

torrents of divine love pour through me

into Creation

reaching every corner.

As the poet becomes the poem,

and the lover becomes the beloved,

so too does

the mystic become God

leavening the world with love.

Do you think me crazy?

Be God and get crazy, too.

When I close my eyes and sense

the silent interior,

I realize it’s not “me” in there, 

it’s God.

Becoming More God

Becoming More God

No one does this perfectly. 

Mystical experiences do not fix 

long-standing problems and 

no one retires in enlightenment. 

But we become more God with every 

mystically-amplified moment as 

the world brightens in our

transforming consciousness.
